What Is CNC Turning?
CNC turning is a machining process in which the workpiece rotates while a stationary cutting tool removes material. It is the most efficient way to make cylindrical parts with outside and inside diameters, tapers, grooves and threads. Turning centres with live tooling can also drill and mill flats, holes and slots in the same set-up, so the part comes off the machine complete.
